Alex Chaney is an instrumentalist, composer, producer, and teacher in the Sacramento area. He first discovered his love for music in 8th grade with the purchase of his first guitar. That spark sent him down the road of a life of making music.
Alex holds a B.A in Music with a concentration in guitar performance and has been teaching music for over 10 years. As a guitarist, he has a deep vocabulary of styles from rock, classical, country, jazz, to pop. He has performed professionally on many stages with many different artists and ensembles along the west coast. Along the journey he has picked up a few other instruments such as Pedal Steel guitar and Bass. Alex’s experience as a composer and producer provides extra value to his students who are interested in creating their own music and voice on their instrument. The immense amount of joy and meaning music brings to his life makes sharing this passion one of his favorite things. Passing along his knowledge and seeing that spark ignited in new musicians is what he comes to every lesson excited to see.
